Casual Examinations Invigilator
Casual Examinations Invigilator
The Cooper School is seeking casual Exam Invigilators to join the existing team to support the school with invigilation of external and internal examinations.
Applicants will need to be available for a reasonable stretch of time during exam periods. The work will be divided into approximately 2 or 3 hour sessions either in the morning and/or afternoon. Many of the morning sessions are between 9.00am and 12.00pm and afternoon sessions usually start at 1.00pm and can have a duration of up to 3 hours.
Exams are currently scheduled to take place in November, January, and from mid-May until July.
Previous experience of working in a school environment and/or as an Exam Invigilator is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. Candidates must have a knowledge of, or a willingness to learn about, exam access arrangements. Finance Officer (Acer Trust)
Acer Trust, an Oxfordshire multi-academy trust, has an exciting new opportunity arising in our North Hub Finance Team, supporting two of our schools in Bicester, who are joining the Trust in January 2024. As part of our North Hub team, this role will be key in delivering a high-quality finance support service to our schools, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial processes, so that our schools can make the best possible use of the funds available to them.
This role would suit someone with strong finance knowledge and experience, excellent attention to detail and good organisational skills, wishing to further develop a career in finance within a supportive and fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, focussed and diligent, with a ‘can do’ attitude. You will be need to have demonstrable experience in a financial role and either hold a relevant qualification or be willing to study to attain one; prior experience in schools finance would be beneficial. We are keen to support further professional development for our staff and are happy to support this through Apprenticeship Levy funding and study leave. You will also benefit from support and coaching from the Hub Finance Manager to further develop your skills.
If you are looking for a varied and engaging role where you can develop your career in finance, this could be the role for you! This role is 37 hours per week and is advertised on a term time basis (39 weeks per annum); however, for the right candidate we would consider a full working year (with 28 days holiday plus bank holidays). The role is paid at Grade 8, which is £29,269 - £32,076 per annum (pro rata for term time only hours).
